Okay I need to write this down before I forget as this was hands down the best sleep related incident that I have lived through EVER - as in I woke up to the sound of my own laughter. How awesome is that!
So the dream started off in a backyard with a huge pool and I was apparently in the arms of a hunk who supposedly according to the dream was my hubby. Brown hair, dreamy chocolatey brown eyes, smitten with me. We were laughing and enjoying the sun sitting in sun loungers on front of the pool. can’t recall what the conversation was about, but went inside as hubby dearest wanted cake. Indoors. In the bedroom to be precise. rawrr.
I remember standing up with him behind me, his hand on my waist. I felt like a midget. Dwarfed by him. (Well that’s how I always feel around everyone being 5ft tall) And he whispered, “my little doll.” *Le melted.*
As I got into the corridor leading to the main house, a five or six year old kid with an adult in tow ran into me and kinda dropped a slice of cake on the floor right in front of me. I laughed and said oops. Turned to the hubby and mentally relayed, “this is why i don’t have my family over”. The sound of children playing as if pre-adolescent cousins had gotten together flows through-out the home in the dream. Now all unbeknownst to me as to how, the next moment, I have a slice of cake on my plate and I am on a ladder. A ladder? Instead of stairs, I guess. It was one of those step ladders you know with the back for support? Out of nowhere, amongst those rowdy kids, my five year old middle sister is spotted screaming along (who is a happily married mother of 2 in real time). She see’s me with the cake on the ladder and she comes after me. And it turns into a wobbly, laughing war for the slice of cake! In the end, I see my hubby’s friends laughing at me and he too laughs along eyes sparkling. I got to the top of the ladder!! And I remember the slice of cake, it was white sponge, vanilla my favorite! With white icing and coconut. He looked at me as if he was so proud of me.
I woke up to the sound of my own laughter and a feeling that I am headed someplace great <3
